A foreign currency fund is a fund in a currency other than the contract currency. If the contract currency is the euro, funds in currencies other than the euro (e.g. Swiss francs) are therefore foreign currency funds. The result of investments in foreign currency funds depends not only on the exchange rate trends of the investments held by the fund, but also on the development of the exchange rate for the corresponding currency (in the present example: euro or Swiss franc).
